Financial Data

This page outlines what dataflows we make available through EconData, relating to financial data of South Africa’s economy. This “Financial Data” Category falls under our EconData StatsSA Category Scheme. In these docs, we outline the dimensions in the series keys we use, and detail the codes used in those concepts.

Annual Financial Statistics (AFS)

This release shows results of the annual financial statistics (AFS) survey, which contains estimates of financial data for a number of industries. The AFS is designed to provide information on selected income and expenditure items, capital expenditure on new and existing assets and the book value of fixed and intangible assets at the end of the financial year for the South African-based activities of the enterprise.
